What the Blog!?

Well, this is new.
Me.
Blogging.
Wow, I feel so techno-literate!
First I want people to know that this blog isn't going to be about everything in my life.
I'm not going to bore you with my daily bus trips to uni.
Or how my shift at work went.
Or the latest fight with one of my friends..
This blog is about my life as a musician's daughter.
Sounds pretty boring hey?
Well, I thought it was too.
That is, until people started telling me I should share my stories with other people. About my life around C-Grade Australian 'celebrities'. The thing is, I have no idea where to begin really.
And I really don't even know if anyone will read this. But if, for some odd reason you are, thanks! Hang in there. I promise this is gonna get interesting..

So, my dad is Australia's best percussionist. Yes, he plays the bongos. Yes, when you watch Australian Idol that's his hand playing the chimes. Yes, he has long hair.
My dad's job means I get to meet some pretty amazing people. I'm often at the previews of musicals (the last one I saw was SHOUT! which I must say exceeded my expectations-it was so much fun!), I usually get to go to after-parties and I worked behind the scenes of Australian Idol last year. Marcia (Hines) is like a godmother to me. She is amazing- I love her so much. But, I'll get back into my celebrity encounters later. More background history...

My mum was a model. She was also Miss Northern Beaches back in the day. My grandma did her fair share of acting and modelling too. But, most importantly, my cousin is Australia's next Gemma Ward. Her name's Sarah Stephens, she's 17 (18 this wkend) and don't tell you I didn't warn you when she takes over tha fashion world! My little sister does modelling as well, but I don't really count Big W as high fashion...

So that leaves me. Little old communications-first-year student. I love the entertainment industry- it's where I belong. Journalism is my calling- but I want to act and model as well. The thing is, my main problem is getting my voice heard, being one of the more boring members of such an eccentric bunch.

This blog is going to be a look at my life as a person behind the scenes of the Australian entertainment industry. Anytime I go to a musical, you will know. Anytime I meet someone 'famous', my impressions will be written here. And hopefully, as I get more used to the whole 'blogging' thing, more people will want to hear my apparent "crazy" stories.

Any recommendations or questions, please let me know! I want this to be the best blog it can be. And if you honestly lasted reading this whole thing without clicking out, snaps for you! haha

Until next time,
Peace!
